Welcome!
The Rhode Island Family Literacy Initiative (RIFLI) is a free, first-step family literacy program for adults and their children based at public libraries throughout Rhode Island. RIFLI offers English as a Second Language (ESL), citizenship preparation and computer instruction as well as children's programming, student resource support and links to library resources and services.
Summer 2010: Limited classes and tutoring are available. Call Amanda at 401-455-8041 for more information.
May 2010: RIFLI receives $13,850 Capacity Building Grant from New Roots Providence. This grant will allow RIFLI to revisit and update its mission and to explore new strategies for increasing community input. If you are interested in being part of this process, please call Karisa at 401-455-8185.
